Wonderfall nature walk

Saturday, October 17th, 11 AM to 12:30 PM

Join KSF naturalist Casey Nicole Sizemore, Saturday, October 17th at 11 AM to welcome the 2020 Fall season with a WonderFALL walk! Meet in front of the new KSF gift shop (inside the former pool complex) where hikers will take Davis Creek trail down to Ellison Pond and back up totaling roughly 2.5 miles!
This trail is flat and easy enough for all ages to enjoy. Masks are required at the start but once you’ve established some distance between yourself and other participants you may use your best judgement. Those who want to learn a thing or two about the forest and the plants and animals that live here, stick with Casey! Otherwise, you are welcome to walk ahead or behind at your own pace. Once you finish the WonderFALL walk, you’ll earn a patch to take home!
For the safety of our staff and participants, this walk will be cancelled if Kanawha County is in the “red” on the school color calendar. The forest will remain open and you are welcome to walk/hike on your own!
Wear comfortable walking or hiking shoes and dress for the weather – October we never know, but if you show, we go! Call the forest office at 304-558-3500 with any questions.
